ost important updates on Facebook without the need to be his/her friend.

Just a few days ago, the social network decided to release its Subscribe button for blogs and websites too. Now you can embed the Subscribe button on your WordPress blog or any other site by simply inserting a few lines of code into a post or page. It works just like the Facebook Like button.

On clicking the Subscribe button, users will immediately get subscribed to your public updates on Facebook. This way you can increase your subscribers count easily, furthermore you can also make sure your content gets delivered to more people via Facebook.

iFrame Subscribe button:

<iframe src="//www.facebook.com/plugins/subscribe.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fzuck&amp;layout=standard&amp;show_faces=true&amp;colorscheme=light&amp;font&amp;width=450" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

NOTE: Please replace the red portion of the code with your Facebook Profile url and you are good to go.

XFBML Subscribe button:

The XFBML button consists of two codes, the Javascript and the actual code where you want the button to appear.

The Javascript:

<div id="fb-root"></div>
<script>(function(d, s, id) {
  var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
  if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
  js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
  js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1";
  fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script>

Make sure to insert the above code possibly in your header.php if you are on a WordPress blog.

The Code:

<fb:subscribe href="https://www.facebook.com/zuck" show_faces="true" width="450"></fb:subscribe>

NOTE: Simply replace the red portion with your Facebook profile url and insert the code where you want the button to get displayed.

If you would like to further customize your Subscribe button please head to this page and personalize it the way you want! Enjoy coding.
