Recently a teaser video was floating around the web, posted first at pocketnow.com glimpsing the design of Nokia N9, but now we are unable to watch the video because of a copyright claim by the Nokia Corporation. Nokia possibly found the leak and patched it up. Nokia N9 is reported to run on a MeeGo 1.2 GHz processor housing 768MB of RAM memory. Internal memory will be of 64GB although can be increased with the help of a microSD card which can expand upto a maximum of 32GB. It will also feature a 12 megapixel Carl Zeiss optical camera and can capture videos at 720p. Nokia is believed to have a sliding QWERTY keyboard with a 4.2 AMOLED display. The display is a scratch resistant surface.

Sources at techtree are claiming that Nokia N9 could be released as soon as in the next month. But those are only rumors, we dont know if Nokia will surely be releasing its smartphone any sooner. Although quite a few blogs suggests otherwise.ย For screenshots ย of the new Nokia N9 please click here.

  • MeeGO ๐Ÿ™‚ Wonderful stuff! waiting for it! Loved the video, top notch!

  • I have a Nokia N7 and I must say that it definitely stands out of the crowd. Not only that this phone shows that Symbian Smartphones have still got class, and they do not lack much behind their Android counterparts, but the interface and everything else too, is quite good.

    • yes Anthony! the speed and memory capacity is really too good! and most of all its a nokia smartphone..so really excited how it’s gonna stand in this tough competition! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Iโ€™ve always been a fan of Nokia, until after Apple released the iPhone. These days, Nokia seems to be losing against Android smartphones as many of their high-end lines are not nearly as good. Maybe with the N9, Nokia will have a fighting chance against Android-powered smartphones.

    • hi, Johanna! i m a apple fan too but after seeing this comic i changed my mind! http://theoatmeal.com/comics/apple …lol! And your point about android is true too…especially when its doing so good everybody are converting to androidism!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Wow!! This sounds interesting. The MeeGo powered device is new thing on the way and it will be great to explore it. Other features like proximity sensor for automatic turning off, accelerometer sensor as well as handwriting recognition are also quite interesting. I cannot wait to check this series of Nokia. Hope Nokia justifies it’s brand status.
