List of Search Terms in Google Wave

Communicating and collaborating in real time is the motto of Google Wave. Google wave has given its users the privilege to Search the waves on archives, folders, participants by providing vast range of Search Terms. The Search Terms in Google wave are Easily Readable and One Can Understand what the Search Term does.

SEARCHING BY KEYWORD

about:keyword

This Search Term Finds all waves containing keyword anywhere in the content.

title:keyword

This Search Term Finds all waves containing keyword in the title.

caption:keyword

This Search Term Finds all waves containing an attachment where keyword occurs in the caption.


SEARCHING ON PARTICIPANTS

creator:name

This Search Term Finds all waves created by name.

participant:name

This Search Term Finds all waves where name is a direct participant (name may be a user or a group).

contributor:name

This Search Term Finds all waves where name edited at least one message.

to:name

This Search Term Finds all waves where name is a participant, but not the creator.

onlyto:name

This Search Term Finds all waves where name is the only participant, beside the creator.

onlyby:name

This Search Term Finds all waves where name is the only contributor.

onlywith:name

This Search Term Finds all waves where name is the only participant (name is either your own, or a group you belong to).

dfrom:name

This Search Term Finds all waves with a direct message from nameor waves with only two participants, where nameis a contributor.

dto:name

This Search Term Finds all direct messages to name, or waves with only two participants, where the other participant is also a contributor.

from:name

This Search Term Finds all waves in which name created at least one message within a wave.

to:name

This Search Term Finds all waves in which name is a participant but not the owner.

with:name

This Search Term Finds all waves in which name is a direct participant.

by:name

This Search Term Finds all waves in which name is a contributor.

onlyto:name

This Search Term Finds all waves in which name is the only participant besides the owner.

onlywith:name

This Search Term Finds all waves in which name is the owner and only participant on a message within a wave.

is:note

This Search Term Finds all waves in which you are the only participant.

[Using me as a participant name, refers to you. Example: with:me Finds all waves in which "me" is a direct participant.


SEARCHING ON THE STATE OF WAVE

is:read

This Search Term Finds all waves where all messages within the wave (including all private replies) have been read.

is:unread

This Search Term Finds all waves with at least one message that has not been read.

is:filed

This Search Term Searches over waves that have been filed into one of your folders.

is:unfiled

This Search Term Searches over waves that have not been filed (and are either still in:inbox or only in:all).

is:followed

This Search Term Searches over all waves that you follow.

is:unfollowed

This Search Term Searches over all waves that have been unfollowed.


SEARCHING BY DATE

past:date term

This Search Term Finds all waves within date term.

previous:date term

Finds all waves from the previous date term.

before:date term

This Search Term Finds all waves from before date term.

after:date term

This Search Term Finds all waves from after date term.

[Note: Accepted date terms: day, week , month, year. Example: past:2days lists all waves in past 2 days]


SEARCHING FOR WAVES WITH ATTACHMENTS

has:attachment

This Search Term Finds all messages with an attachment.

has:document

This Search Term Finds all messages with a document attached.

has:image

This Search Term Finds all messages with an image attached.

caption:term

This Search Term Finds all messages containing a picture, whose caption is the term on which you are searching.

filename:keyword

This Search Term Finds all waves with an attachment containing keyword in the filename.

mimetype:keyword

This Search Term Finds all waves with an attachment with mimetype containing keyword in the filename.


SEARCHING BY FOLDER

in:folder name

This Search Term Finds all waves in folder name.

in:search name

This Search Term Finds all waves in your saved search: search name.

is:unfiled

This Search Term Finds all waves you haven’t moved to a file you created.

is:filed

This Search Term Finds all waves you have moved to a file you created.


OTHER SEARCH OPERATORS

has:gadget

This Search Term Finds all waves containing any gadget.

has:gadgetname

This Search Term Finds all waves containing gadgetname.

gadgeturl:keyword

This Search Term Finds all waves containing a gadget with keyword in the URL.

gadgettitle:keyword

This Search Term Finds all waves containing a gadget with keyword in the title.

has:tag

This Search Term Finds all waves with any tag.

tag:name

This Search Term Finds all waves with the tag name.

tag:subtag

This Search Term Finds all waves with the combination.

title:term

This Search Term Finds all waves with term in the title.

attribute:value keyword

This Search Term Finds all waves with term

<.... attribute=value ...>, where keyword is a token in value.

has:link

This Search Term Finds all waves with links in them.

link:URL

This Search Term Finds all waves with a link to URL.
