If you have used facebook, you might have come across this feature, you can suggest people to your facebook friends. Same kind of feature is introduced in iGoogle chat. Now, with Google Chat in iGoogle, you can connect with friends by suggesting people they might already know, or who share their interests.
Once you login to your iGoogle chat, Google Chat will automatically suggest contacts that you’ll be interested in, based on the people you email with the most (like the one which you experience at Gmail).
If you don’t want to receive contact suggestions, you can turn them off by clicking Options, then clicking Chat Settings, and clearing the Display contact suggestion banners checkbox.
