How to use Google SMS channel for post alerts

Today I am writing about how to use Google SMS Channels to inform your readers about your new post with SMS alerts. But unfortunately its just for Indian Mobile Users :-(

To start using it first you need to go to : http://labs.google.co.in/smschannels/browse

Enter your Information and verify.

Then check out the  box in the right hand side which looks like this and click Try Now.

In the next screen Enter your channel information like Name, Description, category and location. Now do you see that source thing. Enter your RSS feed url there. And the rest of the settings can be configured as you like.

Now hit create channel. And share the subscription links with your readers like I have done in my Blog.

Tell us if you find this service available in your country too. Just visit www.labs.google.(Your Domain Here eg: co.in).

      Nice post. Google doesn’t provide chick let to put in our website like smsgupshup. Also it doesn’t post the url in message while we connect the feed with smschannel

      Yup… Google SMS Channel is good… never stuffs too much ads. or no ads…
      but they have some delayed delivery issues.. need to work on that

      Now to which number should i send a sms from my cell phone to be forwarded to the people using my channel.
