February 20, 2010

Many people now days have started using Digsby as their default messenger. I also use it. Many people have asked my how do they get a auto response message when they IM me. In this post I’ll tell you how to set the auto response.

First of all for those who don’t have digsby click here to download.

Now Lets Continue.

  1. Open Digsby.
  2. Click on Digsby on the top and then select my accounts.
  3. Click on the status on the left side.
  4. Click auto respond with status message there.
  5. Then Click New Status Message.
  6. Change according to you.
  7. Click Save and set the message.
  8. Change your status to the message you have set and the auto response will be activated. :-)

Note: The auto response does not work for facebook. :-(

I tried Disgby but did not like it, though we have written an article on it. The only problem with this is sometimes it becomes very annoying when you operate your Facebook account through it.

I am using Digsby and pretty much liked it. This is surely a good tip for me to update the status. But I am agree with Suhasini, sometimes Facebook chat sucks in Digsby. Even I think I’ll switch to Meebo after some days, if the same problem continues :)
