I don’t think so, I used wave everyday to promoting my posts, active discussion with my college friends.
When I’m preparing SRS for my project I used Wave to chat with my group members.
I don’t think so google wave is waste-less, the problem is that many don’t know how to use and still there is limitations invitations send by google.

It totally depends on individual. I personally like Google Wave.

I am still using Google Wave to interact with my students and trainers. But wondering whether google have any plan to make it stable and to add few more stuffs to it.
