      It is the 10th digit in the vin number counting from left to right. It’s been the 10th digit ever since they went to a 17 number vin code. A 2009 will be a 9. I am not sure what they are going to do for 2010.

        First of all, Thanks for Commenting here on chaaps..

        I loved the way the Television ad has been done… in 2009 they gave a nice hype that something special gonna be launched in 2010… with all those heart beat stuff..

        and one fine day, they released this advertisement! and i liked the ad very much, the theme of the ad, background music everything looked great!

        When Something is Promoted with so much care and the way BEAT entered the Indian Market.I thought it is grabbing people’s attention.. So Far Every one has liked the Ad. and I personally think BEAT Car is not bad at all! You can Compare other Indian Cars with BEAT.

        Beat has upper hand! what do u say about comparision result? I dont think BEAT is a fail.. It is moderately successful in terms of gaining publicity, Marketting, advertising…. and I cant give judgement on CAR’s performance as I dont know how to drive and have 0% knowledge on Car’s performance.. what ever i write in this blog is based with reference to official website of Chevrolet.. So Obviously i have written every positive side of the Chevrolet.. Could you please bring out few points which made you unsatisfied to use Beat…

        what car are you using now?

          I am a big fan of CNBC TV18 channel , they had reviewed some of the best cars which will be launched this year and when it came to Chevrolet based on the customer satisfaction who are already using their cars , they came to the point that “We aren’t sure for how many long years it can sustain in the market “.

          I am not using car , but also would love to take this year :) :) What about you ?? :) :)

            Hi guys..nice to see such a good ad-review! BTW, Sunil, I searched a lot in both print & news media- especially auto mags, & all had given Beat superb ratings..way above its competitors..being an automotive engineer myself, I know for sure that in terms of quality, both build quality & fitment/ finish etc, Chevrolet are best among the lot. only prob is lesser no of service centres..but they are growing fast! in fact they have now 5 service centres in Bangalore itself! &, performance wise, please google more! every Spark owner is giving this car great reviews & spark nos are day by day increasing! I dont have a doubt as why Beat wont be no1!!

              But also we cannot neglect few negatives about Chevrolet
              * Its good to hear that there are 5 service centres in Bangalore but others all metro cities there are very few and i hope they will develop more very soon

              * First Impression Last Impression
              92% of people judge the product at the first sight and i am scared that you haven’t read the reviews of Spark carefully .
              Now it’s Chevrolet which has to turn their old customers to new by giving them nice exchange offers for Beat [ What do you both think?? ;) ]
