Get that background music from a YouTube video

How to Find out a Song Name From a YouTube Video

[ad#chaapsv2-top]
Today i will give you a simple and short tutorial on how to find out a song name from a youtube video. Most of us visit Youtube a lot to watch funny videos, watch movies, etc and when we see a youtube video with a great background song in it, we will definitely want to know the name of that song, won’t we?

I stumbled upon a video today and found a great song inside it but i didn’t know how to get that song. So here are the two ways you can easily find out a youtube video’s background song without going through the trouble of recording a video and searching aimlessly of what to do next.

First Way: When a youtube video is uploaded there is this feature called AudioSwap with which users use an another youtube video’s music and play it in their video as an audio track. After using this AudioSwap feature the information about that audio file is visible in the Statistics section of the video.

Just click the Show video statistics icon which is located beside the video views and here you can find the name, album and artist of the song that has been used in the video.

Second Way: The second way is kinda stupid but it works nonetheless. Just listen to the track’s lyrics that is being played in the Youtube video and remember some of those lyrics. Now go to lyrster.com and type the song’s lyrics and hit the Search button. Lyrster’s audio database is pretty vast and it also uses Google’s database to power their searches and i am pretty sure you will find the song you are looking for in minutes. Of course, if the song is an instrumental it could be difficult to find it, but relax what else is the third way for?

Third Way or The Hard Way: You have to convert the Youtube video into and MP3 format and save it onto your hard disk. Keepvid.com or Savevid.com can be very helpful to convert videos for you. After saving it, play the song you had saved earlier in any media player, now go to Midomi.com and click the search button, make sure the song is still playing in your player.

Midomi.com will search its database to find that specific song and if you are lucky it will list you the exact name and artist of the song. You can also use Midomi’s sing feature to sing a song on a mic, rather than playing it on your media player.

If all else fails you can use Google’s very own Google Music Search to discover your favorite song name, it uses the whole Google’s database, and we all know how power it is ;)

Now share you circles on Google+

How To: Share your circles on Google+

[ad#ad-2]
The Google Plus Team on Saturday revealed a nice new feature to its users,

Sharing of your circles on Google+. Yes now you can share any Google+ circle with your friends, family or celebrities and the people you have shared the circle with can add people from your circle. Its easy too.

As we know we can make as many circles we want on Google+ and keep them private to us. But if you have a categorised circle containing people sharing a common taste, you couldn’t share it earlier. Now that Google+ is fully open to everybody, the Google+ crew is expanding all its features and sharing of circles is one of them.

Let me tell you how its done.

Pick a circle on Google+ to share

Go to your favourite circle and click it. Immediately you will see three options Edit, Delete and Share. Click on Share. Comment something to go with the circle and choose a friend to share it with. You can also share a circle with a group of people i.e. an entire circle too.

Share your Google+ circle with your friends

When it is shared people wont see the circle name but rather see who the members are of that circle and if they wish add them to their circle too. Remember any changes they make to that circle will not reflect it in your own. Your circle is and always will, remain private.

Note: At present you can only share 250 people at a time. If you want to share more than that make another circle and share it.

Watch a short video that Google+ engineer Owen Prater has put together. As he was the one to introduce this feature.

So did you enjoy this feature? Please comment your experiences of Google+ with us!

With the release of the new Facebook timeline feature you must be pretty excited to use Facebook. But there are many other improvements yet to launch on the most popular social network. One of the most needed feature we all were looking for is how to get notified when someone unfriends you.

Although not available as a notification, there is a small tip for you to find out who unfriended you in a particular year with the Facebook’s new timeline! This feature is only available for the users who have activated the new Timeline. If you want a tutorial on how to activate it, proceed to this link.

Now talking about the

unfriend feature, just have a glance about these three simple steps discussed below and find out how easy it is to know who that jerk was, who was foolish enough to unfriend YOU!

  • Click a particular year in your Timeline and look for a Friends box.
  • Now click on the “Made X new friends” link. Now a popup box will open up showing all the friends you made in that year.
  • Scroll down the list. If you come across a Add Friend button in front of your Friend’s name. That denotes that he/she has already unfriended you.

Facebook Timeline Unfriend feature

We are also waiting for Facebook to release a feature which notifies you in real time when someone unfriends you, but till then this should solve your problem.

Gmail Preview Pane launched

Gmail Preview Pane launched. Browse mails faster

Gmail just yesterday launched its new gadget or shall i say a Labs feature, the Preview Pane. As the name suggests its use, the widget is used to preview your mails rather than opening them completely.

Gmail Preview Pane enable

To enable this feature just goto your mail settings, select the Labs tab. Enter preview as your search word. Click on the Preview pane result. Mark the Enable checkbox and click Save changes.

gmail-preview-pane-settings

When the page gets reloaded, you will see a small list button at the side of your navigation buttons. Just click it and you will be shown with a dropdown box. Select Vertical Split or Horizontal split according to your desire. A new sidebar will be launched. Just click on any mail message and you will be previewing it on your preview pane in no time.

Gmail Preview Pane in action

Quite an easy way to check your messages isn’t it? I for one think its very arduous and time consuming to sit and open each unread mail and press back to return to the inbox. With this feature a lot of mails can be read in a short time.

Folks at TechCrunch and Mashable are regarding this as a messed up and an incomplete product but i beg to differ.

Tell us what you think about this new contraption! Is it a GO or a NO-GO?
