Could Virtual Reality Propel Your Business To The Next Level?

Could Virtual Reality Propel Your Business To The Next Level?

When it comes to business, it often pays to stay ahead of the crowd. Are you a business owner? Are you thinking of launching a new firm? If so, you may be on the lookout for the next big thing. Innovation often saves times and money, and it can set you apart from your rivals. If you’re eager to impress your clients or make your company more efficient, you may consider employing virtual reality. This is an increasingly diverse and versatile form of technology, which could help to propel your business to the dizzy heights.

About virtual reality

Virtual reality is a type of technology, which takes you into a virtual world. In this different dimension, you can interact with characters and experience sensory triggers. You can enter a new reality by wearing a headset, using headphones or utilizing software. This concept has long been popular in the gaming industry. But it is now making waves in all kinds of different arenas, and it offers advantages for many business owners.

How could virtual reality benefit me?

If you’re starting your own business from home, you may not want mail arriving at your door or tons of envelopes clogging up your drawers. The solution: a virtual mailbox. By employing an affordable virtual mailing service, you can save space, and make your business more efficient. If you have a virtual inbox, the service will scan mail you receive, creating a virtual copy. You can keep up to date with your post and save and share letters without taking up valuable storage space.

Virtual reality has already proved revolutionary in the health industry. Corporations that work with medical schools for example, are offering VR training. This enables students to hone their practical skills. Dentists are also keen to embrace this trend. Many people suffer from dental anxiety, and studies have shown that virtual reality headsets help them to feel more relaxed. A golden sandy beach is a much less threatening environment than a clinical dental office.

Retailers and hospitality firms are also benefitting from this exciting new technology. Thanks to virtual reality, consumers can now see a 360-degree representation of products they are interested in. You can also take virtual tours around bars, hotels, and wedding venues. This gives you a much better idea of what a location looks like than simple photographic images.

Another important use of virtual technology is training. Using specially designed programs, employees can practice in a mock setting. If you’re worried about public speaking, you can increase your confidence by rehearsing in front of a virtual audience. You can also act out practical scenarios without any risk to yourself or others. You can also communicate with hundreds of different people at the same time without incurring significant costs.

Succeeding in the modern world is tough for a new business owner. Sometimes, you need that extra special USP to catapult you to the next level. Virtual reality technology could be just the ticket if you want to outclass the competitors and impress new clients.

How The Right Tech Makes A Lean, Mean Fighting Machine Of A Business

How The Right Tech Makes A Lean, Mean Fighting Machine Of A Business

Productivity and efficiency are two crucial metrics for a successful business. If time is getting wasted and work isn’t getting done right, then you have a serious problem on your hands. When you’re in the thick of it, it can be hard to define the problem and find a solution. That’s why you need to take a step back and find the tools that show you the way. Let’s look at how the right tech approach can make a much more focused and work-efficient business.

Image1

Make sure you have a system that’s prepared

One of the biggest problems for any office is trying to make a change with an IT system that doesn’t let them. Too many use part-timers to set up an IT system, only calling them in when they need them. That’s a slow and ineffective method. You need to have an IT that’s set-up to grow and move forward with the business from the get-go. A virtual chief information officer that’s always connected and always ready. Not a part-timer, but a third-party that’s focused solely on making IT systems that are forward thinking. That can even help you find the tech solutions to some of your specific issues.

Image2

Keep everyone in the loop

Communication can be a hassle in any business. If everyone is stuck to their computers by necessity, that can add another barrier to good communication. Or it can act as a bridge to it. Poor communication leads to the poor prioritization of a workload. It can even result in tasks disappearing into the ether, entirely forgotten. Help employees focus on the movements of the business as a whole as well as their individual workloads. A good to-do list app can help anyone prioritize their working day and ensure nothing’s lost in the gaps. Meanwhile, project management software keeps everyone in the loop about what they’re supposed to do to help the whole. Make sure that everyone is communicating and has their objectives before their eyes at all times.

Image3

Image Link

Take a bird’s eye view

Being in the loop is good, but it’s not just direction that they need. It’s an environment that allows them to carry on with their workload as much as possible. Taking a bird’s eye view is about getting a good look at how the workflow of the office is. How long does it take to do a certain task? How quickly does work move from one employee to the other? Workflow management can help any employer see where problems are and where shortcuts can be made without cutting quality. The problem with workflow can just as often be systematic as it can be a personal problem of an employee. Efficiency is all about reviewing and updating when you can.

Image4

Image Link

Stop losing things

Another symptom of an inefficient workload is the inability to get resources or information when you need them. In many offices, this can be down to reliance on a cumbersome physical method of storage. If you’re not able to organise your filing system, consider taking it all to a place that’s a lot easier to organise. We’re talking about using your IT network and Cloud software, where it’s a lot easier to tag and find what you need in no time flat. Even smaller businesses that can’t afford top quality IT systems can make use of shared networks. Nowadays, Microsoft Office is incorporating more ways of sharing and organising between groups. There should be no excuse for losing work-important documents nowadays.

Image5

Image Link

Track work interruption

Work isn’t always interrupted by someone losing something they need. There are all kinds of different factors that can take someone ‘out of their zone’. Seemingly urgent ‘questions’, new tasks popping up and the like. Part of solving the problem is helping staff prioritise, as we have mentioned before. For example, everyone can use an official ticketing/request system. If someone has a question or task that needs done, it can be input and set a level of priority. That way, the team member isn’t interrupted by new information and can check it when they need to. Teaching your employees how to set priority properly is important too. If they need something done by so-and-so o’clock, keep it low priority. If their own workflow is at a standstill until something is done, they can make it a top priority.

Image6

Image Link

Get automated

There are a lot of parts of the work process that are important, but they’re not making you money. They’re not a core part of the business. They’re administration tasks. Paper pushing and time wasting. There has to be a better way of dealing with them. Of course, there is; it’s called automation. A lot of the more tedious tasks can easily be automated. Tracking HR factors like absences, paid leave and infractions. Paying bills and sending invoices. Managing your inbox and scheduling meetings. There’s software that can make a lot of managing hands-off. It’s important that you keep an eye on what these automating approaches are doing, but that’s a small price to pay.

Image7

Do business from everywhere

For the upper-tier management of any business, their ability to organise and focus the team efforts is important. Absences are never a great thing but if it’s someone with real managing power, it can be even worse. That’s why anyone with that kind of authority should be able to do their job when they’re on the go, too. Make sure you have a mobile fit with the applications that’s going to help you be present even when you’re not. Reading reports, managing emails, keeping in touch. This can all be done from a smartphone. Just make sure you’re also able to delegate some of the other responsibilities amongst the rest of the team.

It’s all about using tech to change the work environment for everyone in the business. From organising their daily tasks to make the overall team much more cohesive. Getting rid of drains on your time and getting more done quicker. We hope the tech mentioned above helps you do that.

Social Media’s Big, Grown Up Future

Social Media’s Big, Grown Up Future

2016 is, allegedly, a breakthrough year for social media. We’ve seen more activity on social media sites than ever before. And now the technology is even influencing the course of democracy itself. Just look at how Donald Trump has used it to his advantage over the last 14 months or so.

Social media has already gone well beyond its original intention. It started as a way for university students to chat to each other on US campuses. It’s telling that we rarely talk about this application anymore. Now everybody’s fired up about its marketing potential and political clout.

What’s more, there’s no reason to believe that progress in the area has hit a brick wall. Far from it: many of today’s social media companies are leaders in innovation. Investors might ask themselves, what does the future hold for the industry?

Virtual Reality

Recently, Money Morning reported that Facebook stocks were up more than 15 percent since January. Commentators argue that the increase isn’t being driven by the company’s old business model. It’s being propelled by new technologies. One of those technologies is VR. Facebook bought the virtual reality company, Oculus back in 2014 for $2 billion. Since then, Mark Zuckerberg has been touting VR as the next big thing in social media. According to analysts, the VR market is set to generate $30 billion by 2020. That’s a lot, considering it was only back in May that we got the first proper VR headset.

SocialMedia_1

www.youtube.com

No doubt valuations for VR will go higher now that Pokemon Go has arrived. Although Pokemon Go isn’t a VR game, it’s proof that augmented reality is something the masses want. We now have a working model of augmented reality mixed with social. It’s only a matter of time before there’s an application in the social media space.

Decision Making Power From Data

We’ve already seen some examples of social media using its data gathering skills for the common good. Back in 2014, Facebook released its Safety Check feature. The feature was designed to tell loved ones whether they were safe or not during a disaster. Since then, there have been a lot of disasters, and Safety Check has been put to good use. It was first used in the Nepal Earthquake last year. And since then it has been used in all the terrorist atrocities in Europe.

But in the future, data can be used for more than that. Take the recent Zika virus outbreak in Florida. Here is a great example where governments could use Facebook data to help combat disease. If users have location turned on, outbreaks can be tracked geographically. And that information could be used to track down the source.

SocialMedia_2

Companies are going to benefit from data too. They’re going to be able to make decisions on how to market. If companies are able to collect data on what’s trending right now, they can customize their marketing accordingly.

Social Media: The New Skype

It seems strange that we have separate apps for posting pictures and having conversations. We use social media for the former and video chat apps, like Skype, for the latter. But why is that? It’s mainly down to the fact that Skype managed to get into the video-chat space first, and social media hasn’t caught up. Well, until now that is.

In 2016, live video went mainstream. Blab, Periscope, and Meerkat all went big and hit the primetime. Even Google moved to give Hangouts a video function. And this all makes sense. Video calling is fundamentally a social act. And so it should be merged with social media.

Facebook, of course, is on the case. As the world’s biggest social media site, it should be. Facebook wants to make sure that live video streaming is something that everybody does. They don’t want it to be the preserve of businesses and video marketers. They want to take on the likes of Periscope and make live streaming bigger than it already is.

SocialMedia_3

Commons.wikimedia.org

Plus, you can see the appeal of live streaming. One of the limitations of the original Facebook model was that you couldn’t broadcast your life in real time. But with the success of shows like Big Brother, there certainly is a market for it. Marketers on YouNow have discovered that social media users will actually pay to watch live streams. They’ll watch anything, from people sleeping, dancing and singing.

Social At Work

We all know how social media has found its way into our offices. But it’s never been seen as a part of work. It’s something that most employers discourage. And it’s something bloggers constantly tell us is a waste of time.

SocialMedia_4

en.wikipedia.org

But now there’s change afoot. No, your favorite social media sites aren’t going to be unblocked by the company firewall. But you may get some new, work-related social apps. One app, called Slack, is doing the rounds right now. It’s an app that allows users to share information, gifs, and PDFs. Facebook has also tried to get into the space. It’s launched its new Facebook for Work, which sounds utterly boring. But it’s designed to separate the business from the social since social media is now such an important part of business.

Machine Learning

Silicon Valley is obsessed with machine learning at the moment. It’s become the new Big Data. (In fact, it uses Big Data). And it’s being put to use on social media. Forevery, for instance, has developed a new technology that automatically classifies your camera roll. All you do is download the app, and then it will organize photos according to the people in the images, where they were taken, etc. It’s an example of just how much easier tech will make our lives.

Facebook too will move to tag you and your friends automatically in photos. We’ve had face recognition technology for a while now. But we’re moving into a different era. Now machine learning is so good it can tell who you are without even looking at your face. It can recognize you from other characteristics.

Samsung has put lot of thought while building this functionality. The S Bike mode feature makes sure that you ride safe and allows you to pick the call only when the bike is stationary. How to Enable Right-To-Left Layout in Android

a3

How to Enable Right-To-Left Layout in Android:

We all are very much comfortable with the traditional left-to-right text alignment. But left hand users may feel more comfortable in a right-to-left text alignment for taping and all. If your device’s system language is one that uses a right-to-left script (like Arabic, or Hebrew), the change from LTR to RTL is done automatically.

To force right-to-left layouts on your Android device follow the below steps,

Step 1: Go to Menu and select Settings

Step 2: If you can see Developer Options and access it you can skip this step, else continue with this step to enable Developer Options. Select About Phone and tap seven times in quick succession on Build Number to enable Developer Options.

Step 3: Now Developer Options will be enabled and it may listed at the bottom right above About Phone, tap it to open.

Step 4: Scroll down and tap the box to enable Force RTL layout direction.

a

Now you have turned on the Right-To-Left Layout in your phone. All system menus and Google apps will reflect the change: phonebook, messaging, Google Play, Gmail, notifications area, and so on. Switching back to left-to-right layouts is just as easy, and is obviously done by taping again on the “Force RTL layout direction” tab.

Hope you got what we meant. If not, drop in your doubts in the comment section.Keep visiting the site for more cool articles which is going to help you by various means.

Indian Government Orders  To Block GitHub, Vimeo And 30 Other Websites:

There is an interesting news regarding some move made by indian government with respect to websites flourishing in the country and it does make sense as well with their action so as to block certain websites.Internet censorship has been hotly debated in the recent times and the latest move by the Indian Government has stirred many heated conversations. The Indian Department of Telecom has sent a circular to ISPs and mobile operators asking them to block 32 sites which includes github, vimeo, dailymotion and others. Pranesh Prakash, director at the Centre for internet and Society shared an excerpt which lists all the blocked URLs and social media has been in a frenzy with reports.

v2

“The websites that have been blocked were based on an advisory by Anti Terrorism Squad, and were carrying Anti India content from ISIS. The sites that have removed objectionable content and/or cooperated with the ongoing investigations, are being unblocked.” Mr Gupta said in a tweet.

“It is Vimeo’s longstanding policy not to allow videos that promote terrorism, and we remove such videos whenever we become aware of them,” said a Vimeo spokeswoman. “We have not received notice from the Indian government concerning such videos and have contacted them requesting the blocking order to identify, and evaluate the video in question. It is our hope that Vimeo can be restored promptly in India.”

fKDDI fx0: Firefox smartphone with transparent body:

Here is an interesting model for you guys out there who look for differences. The Japanese provider KDDI is now offering the “fx0” on – a smartphone with Firefox OS and special package. As fx0 is definitely an eye-catcher: Unlike other models, the smartphone components namely stuck with this device in a transparent housing. The Firefox mobile phone is made from LG; Similarities with the LG G3 are therefore not entirely coincidental.

Technically very innovative

With the transparent case the fx0 would attract attention. But Technically it holds no surprises. It is driven by a smartphone Snapdragon 400 processor from Qualcomm, which is clocked at 1.2 GHz. Installed continue to be a 2370-mAh battery, 16 gigabytes of data memory, 1.5 GB RAM, as well as NFC and LTE. For the resolution of the display and Mozilla KDDI did not have any information. Do it with the “Firefox OS” developed by the Mozilla Foundation.

f2

Price and availability

The KDDI fx0 comes for the equivalent of around 400 euros in the trade and will initially be released only in Japan. Since it is a mobile phone that is produced for a local provider, a sale is unlikely in this country.

There is a lot of expectation around this model throughout the globe despite its limited release. So if the model do well in terms of performance, it will enable the model to establish in many places.Keep visiting the site to know about further updates. Good day…!! 🙂

Skype: listening function discovered in Android app?

Skype: listening function discovered in Android app?:

Eavesdropping on Skype? Due to a security vulnerability in the chat app is Android phones to make spy camera and a microphone. we investigated.

The no disturbing scenario: Your Android phone indicates an incoming Skype call, but the ringing ends abruptly. No problem, the caller may have placed no more or simply network suddenly. According to recent reports and rumors on the net but you can hear you at this very moment from you. If an error in the Skype system torn a vulnerability?

Accidentally discovered

A user of the technology blogs Reddit happens to come across this “bug” feature and describes how easily this can be exploited: The caller must ensure only on two arbitrary devices into the instant messaging service log and the alleged victim on an Android Call via Skype device. When the phone rings, the caller disconnects the network connection of the apparatus used and then you have probably just have to wait yet. So the called Android device registers the connection is aborted and tried to call back the caller on the second, likewise logged-in Skype device. Critical: This happens automatically – and the callee might remembers nothing about it. The display should not be recognizable that – still run microphone and camera, the record hardworking. The attentive Skype users, who discovered the supposed vulnerability in itself, has already asked for feedback from other Skype and Android users. These confirm the Bug function but only partially, as the comments in the blog entry is read. That sums thing up perhaps to a limit.

s3

Not (yet) confirmed

We wanted to know what is going on with the listening function and tried to recreate tested it with many Android devices – without success! Interception error could not be confirmed. Once the connection was cut off, and the device of the called party terminated the ring. An automatic callback was made in any of the test runs. But beware: The error is still not ruled out. Well, what we recommends: To ensure that you do not become a victim of such an attack in the near future, please do not initially on the phone function by Skype or limit the chats on Skype trusted contacts. Stay tuned and prompts you if there are updates to the supposed vulnerability.Hope you guys got an idea on the same.If any doubt pops up onto your mind- don’t mind letting us know by making your queries in the comment section.Keep visiting the site.

Disabling Facebook’s Auto Photo Enhance Feature

a

Disabling Facebook’s Auto Photo Enhance Feature

Now, c. Essentially it uses the same picture improvement filters that were already in the app, but now they’re automatically applied for you, based on what Facebook thinks makes a decent photograph.

The auto photo enhance feature is enabled by default and if you trust in your own photography skills you can disable the auto enhance feature by following some simple steps.

Step 1: To start, open the Facebook app from your iOS device.

Step 2: Select the “More” tab from the lower right corner of the app.

Step 3: Scroll down to the Settings section and select “Settings”, then tap on the “Videos and Photos” option.

Step 4: Now you can see the “Enhance automatically” option. By default the option will be enabled, so go ahead and tap it once to disable it.

a

Now Facebook will not be automatically enforcing brightness and contrast enhancements on the photos that you upload. Anyway, the auto enhance magic wand icon will still appear in the corner of your pictures should you want to enable it on a photo-by-photo basis.

You can easily again enable the auto enhance feature by default by simply following the above mentioned steps. Tapping again on the button “Enhance automatically” will enable it.
