Government Gets a Revenue of 67,719 Crores from 3G Spectrum Auction.
The 3G spectrum allows subscribers to download hi-speed data and stream videos on mobile phones. The successful bidders will be allotted air waves in the month of September after the spectrum is vacated by the defence forces.

Oh no
now i will have to stop using my Airtel to use 3G in Gujarat !! :O
For me also it is disappointing!! vodafone fails to grab karnataka circle!! whatever.. there will be tie-ups once the 3g operations start
So do the same thing happened to me. Airtel lost in Kerala.
Chethan are you sure that will Airtel tie up with either !dea, docomo or Aircel to bring 3G in kerala.. very much sad today… my Airtel number is 5 year old one..
don’t worry!! obviously they must have some deals! they could work out a deal.. not all operators have won all circles.. so it is obvious they talk to each other and do something!!
and one more thing! Remember “MNP” (mOBILE nUMBER pORTABILITY)… with MNP coming in few months.. we could switch over to any operator retaining the same phone number… let it be any operator ..the consumer is the winner!!
Since, the bids have gone very high, 3g services will be very expensive. Thanks for sharing the list.

according to me here 3 in 3G refers to Airtel, Vodafone, idea. G refers to Government. There 3 are filling the bags of Govt….
But the great thing is 3G which is expected to launch after 2011 in India is now already into market.
